Maharashtra is pushing India onto the world stage of motor sports with big plans for supercross racing. On a recent visit to Pune, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar unveiled the official poster for the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) Season 2 Round 1, giving a major lift to the country’s sports ambitions.
This move shows the government’s strong push to build top-notch sports facilities, train homegrown athletes, and host global events, according to ISRL organizers.
Get ready for high-octane action: The first round of ISRL Season 2 kicks off on October 26, 2025, at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune. Organizers are turning the venue into a state-of-the-art supercross track, and they expect more than 15,000 fans to pack the stands for this thrilling show.
Building on the success of Season 1 at the same spot, this opener features six teams, six races, and 36 elite riders from around the world racing against India’s top talents. It cements Pune’s status as the epicenter of Indian supercross.
Ajit Pawar, who also serves as Pune’s Guardian Minister, shared his excitement: “Maharashtra leads the way in boosting sports. Hosting the Indian Supercross Racing League here fills us with pride. It positions Pune as a key spot for international events and gives our local athletes a chance to shine with the world’s best. Events like ISRL motivate young people to chase their sports dreams and help Maharashtra drive India’s rise as a global sports powerhouse.”
Eeshan Lokhande, co-founder of the Indian Supercross Racing League, added: “We’re all about raising the bar for supercross in India by exposing our riders to international competition and creating unforgettable experiences for fans. Pune beats at the heart of Indian supercross—it’s the perfect starting point for another epic season.”
Adding to the buzz, the Reise Moto FanPark opens at 11 a.m. IST on October 26, 2025. This massive 360-degree motorsport festival brings fans closer to the action with behind-the-scenes tours, interactive zones, gaming setups, brand booths, exclusive merch, and meet-and-greets with riders. It’s like a full-on party that spills way beyond the track.
