Actress Nithya Menen recently shared some fun behind‑the‑scenes clips from her hit film Idli Kadai. She posted the videos on Instagram, adding a quirky note that she went to collect her National Award with cow dung still in her fingernails.
The outgoing scene had her picking up cow dung for a shot in the movie, and the next day she walked into the President’s office with it still on her hands. “It felt poetic,” Nithya laughed on her profile, “and it made the award moment even more memorable.”

She thanked her crew for being her second family and announced that Idli Kadai is now streaming on Netflix. The film, released on October 1, stars Dhanush, Arun Vijay, and Nithya Menen. Dhanush played and directed the movie, while Arun Vijay took on the antagonist role. Shalini Pandey and Sathyaraj also appear in supporting parts.

The film was a solid hit, drawing strong reviews and a cheering audience. Dhanush posted a heartfelt thank‑you note, saying, “Thank you all for the overwhelming love and affection toward our Idli Kadai. Blessed and grateful.”

Nithya’s National Award, which she received from the President, was for her performance in Thiruchitrambalam, a film that also featured Dhanush in the lead. The award ceremony and the cow dung story have sparked a lot of chatter online, adding to the buzz around the movie.
