The delegate also pointed to the 2026 Review Conference of the Parties to the Non‑Proliferation Treaty (NPT), scheduled for late April to late May. He welcomed Vietnam’s presidency of the conference, expressing full support for its work. Al Mansouri hopes the meeting drives workable outcomes that strengthen the NPT framework and encourage responsible nuclear technology use.
Key to his speech was the importance of implementing international agreements that promote nuclear disarmament while allowing safe, peaceful nuclear energy development. Al Mansouri called for stringent safeguards, arguing that strict IAEA oversight is vital to avoid the accidental spread of radioactive material across borders.
