Mumbai actress Sahher Bambba recently opened up about her fun experience working with Aryan Khan on the new Netflix series The Bastards of Bollywood. She plays the role of Karishma Talwar in the show, and Aryan, the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, steps into directing for the first time.
In a chat with ahead of the series launch, Bambba praised Aryan as a tough but inspiring director. "He’s a bit of a hard task master, but in the best way," she said. "He pushed all of us to go further, beyond what’s on the page. At the same time, he had such clear thinking and knew exactly what he wanted. His attention to detail was spot on."
Bambba added that Aryan seemed super focused and present on set. "It didn’t feel like he was new to this at all—like he’d been directing for years," she shared. "He’s really supportive with a calm vibe. Nothing rattles him, even when a ton of things go wrong."
She also highlighted his thoughtful side. "After wrap-up, he’d call and ask what I thought of the scene or if I was happy with it. He’d even text to make sure I got home safe. Who does that after pack-up? He’s just an amazing person. I had a blast and learned so much from him."
The Bastards of Bollywood dives into the wild world of Bollywood drama and is now streaming on Netflix, drawing fans eager for fresh stories from the industry.
