After Op Sindoor, jointness of tri-series on top of govt agenda: Rajnath Singh

India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted the strong teamwork among the army, navy, and air force during a recent military operation. Speaking at an Indian Air Force seminar in New Delhi on Tuesday, Singh praised how this tri-services synergy in Operation Sindoor led to quick decisions and better awareness on the ground.

The event at Subroto Park focused on “Fostering Greater Jointness,” emphasizing shared learning in areas like inspections, audits, aviation standards, and aerospace safety. Singh stressed that his government wants to boost integration among the armed forces. “This isn’t just policy—it’s key to surviving in today’s fast-changing security world,” he said.

He explained that modern warfare mixes old-school battles with new threats from space and cyber domains. “Jointness is now a must for national security and winning fights,” Singh added. “Each service can act alone, but linking land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace together guarantees success.”

A big win came from the Indian Air Force’s Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS), which teamed up with the army’s Akashteer and the navy’s Trigun. During Operation Sindoor, these systems created a shared, real-time view of the battlefield. “Commanders made fast calls, stayed sharp on situations, and cut down friendly fire risks,” Singh noted. “This shows how jointness delivers real results—let’s make it the standard for future ops.”

Singh also recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s push for unity at the recent Combined Commanders’ Conference in Kolkata. The government aims to build armed forces that shine in values, traditions, and cutting-edge tech, ready for tomorrow’s challenges. This focus on tri-services jointness and integration strengthens India’s defence preparedness against evolving threats.
