PKL 12: Redemption for Jaipur Pink Panthers after Nitin Kumar clinch golden raid victory

Jaipur Pink Panthers Edge Out Gujarat Giants in Thrilling Pro Kabaddi Tie-Breaker

In a heart-pounding Pro Kabaddi League match in Visakhapatnam, Nitin Kumar became the hero for Jaipur Pink Panthers. His stunning 15 points clinched a dramatic win against Gujarat Giants in a tie-breaker at Vishwanath Sports Club on Tuesday. This marks the team’s second tie-breaker victory this season, keeping their playoff hopes alive.

The game ended in a 30-30 deadlock after full time, but Jaipur Pink Panthers pulled off a memorable comeback. As two-time champions, they showed why they’re a force in the Pro Kabaddi League, turning the match on its head in the final moments.

Right from the start, Gujarat Giants’ Rakesh Sungroya set the tone with a quick two-point raid, putting his team ahead. Jaipur didn’t back down—Ali Samadi raided back, and Deepanshu Khatri nailed a tackle to tie it at 6-6. The early action was intense, with both sides trading points like pros.

Rakesh kept shining, landing a Super Raid to give Gujarat a 9-7 lead after the first quarter. But Nitin Kumar fired up for Jaipur with his own Super Raid, leveling it at 11-11. Jaipur then took control thanks to Nitin’s sharp attacks, building a three-point lead. Things flipped again when Gujarat’s Nitin Panwar pulled off a Super Tackle, snatching a 16-15 edge at halftime.

Coming out strong in the second half, Gujarat’s Aryavardhan Navale raided for points, and Nitin Panwar added a tackle. Deepanshu fought back for Jaipur by tackling Rakesh, keeping the score close. A game-changer came when Gujarat’s Himanshu Jaglan got a yellow card, giving Jaipur an opening. The Pink Panthers pounced with an ALL OUT, surging to a four-point lead at 25-21. Nitin Kumar hit his Super 10, helping his team dominate heading into the last quarter.

Gujarat Giants refused to quit. Nitin Panwar and Aryavardhan chipped away, and Rakesh tied it at 25-25 with under five minutes left. Shadloui joined the fun with a tackle on Sahil, shifting momentum to Gujarat. Rakesh sealed his Super 10 with a two-point raid that triggered an ALL OUT, putting Gujarat up by four.

Nitin Kumar wouldn’t let it end there. He raided back fiercely, cutting the lead to one point before the final raid. This set up an epic tie-breaker—the fifth of the Pro Kabaddi season. Both teams battled hard, but Shadloui gave Gujarat the edge with a tackle on Deepanshu. Aryan Kumar swung it back with a late tackle, forcing a Golden Raid and keeping Jaipur in the fight.

In the end, Nitin Kumar stayed cool under pressure, delivering the points that sealed the win for Jaipur Pink Panthers. What a rollercoaster for kabaddi fans! This Pro Kabaddi League clash shows why tie-breakers make the sport so exciting.
