Union Minister JP Nadda to visit Kerala today; to attend Mata Amritanandamayi’s birth anniversary celebration, meet BJP leaders

BJP chief JP Nadda heads to Kerala this Saturday for a special visit. As the party’s national president and Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, he’ll join the 72nd birth anniversary celebrations of spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi, known worldwide as Amma. Devotees from across the globe flock to these events, and this one at her Amritapuri Ashram in Kollam district promises a big turnout of followers and guests.
Nadda lands at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, greeted by top BJP leaders and local workers. Right after, he attends the festivities at the ashram in Vallikavu. Later, he chairs a key meeting with Kerala BJP state office bearers at The Quilon Beach Hotel & Convention Centre in Kollam. They’ll discuss boosting party organization, gearing up for local body elections, and building stronger grassroots networks in the state.
Just a couple of days earlier, on Thursday, Nadda joined a cleanliness drive in New Delhi. This tied into the Seva Pakhwada initiative, marking the birth anniversary of BJP ideologue Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. The event aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s push for the Swachhta Hi Seva 2025 campaign, aiming for a cleaner India.
In a post on X, Nadda shared his involvement: “Joined the Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign in New Delhi today on Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Ji’s birth anniversary. Inspired by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji’s vision, every act of cleanliness is a tribute to our shared duty towards a Swachh Bharat. #Swachhotsav.” He called on all Indians to pitch in, saying it helps create a clean, healthy, and green nation.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah honored Upadhyaya on his 109th birth anniversary with tributes at BJP headquarters in New Delhi. The leader founded the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, a precursor to today’s BJP, and his ideas continue to shape the party’s direction.
