Iulia Vantur calls herself ‘blessed’ to be close to Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan: ‘He’s a beautiful soul’
Mumbai, Dec 8 – Iulia Vantur, the Romanian actress‑and‑singer, has long been close to Bollywood icon Salman Khan and his family. While speaking with LatestNewsX, she poured her heart out about Salman’s father, the legendary writer Salim Khan. “He’s a beautiful soul and a legend,” she said, adding that every moment spent with him feels like a life lesson. “I am blessed to have him close to my life; his support means a lot, especially when I am far from my own family,” she continued.
Iulia admitted that Bollywood has always felt like home to her, having grown up cheering for iconic Hindi films and even watching Raj Kapoor’s classics in Romanian cinemas.
When asked about her decision to relocate to India at the height of her Romanian career, she made it clear she would not change a thing, hardships included. “Moving to a new country forces you out of your comfort zone,” she explained. “You must strip away all the labels and titles you once carried and rediscover who you truly are without them.”
She reflected on the flourishing career she left behind in Romania—hosting “Dancing with the Stars,” presenting the news, running her own news journal—and how life presented an even greater opportunity: singing in another language, performing on new stages, and recording songs in a world that captivated her. “Now I know singing is my true passion,” she said.
Earlier, on November 24, Iulia sent a heartfelt note to Salim Khan on his 90th birthday, sharing a photo with him and writing, “Happy birthday to my favourite human being Salim Khan: a father, a teacher, a friend, an inspiration, a motivation, a believer, a pillar, a blessing in my life. Beyond grateful. Love each other or perish!” She added, “May your heart always be full of love, happiness, and compassion. May you keep inspiring and blessing more people with your wisdom and strength. I love you.”
