Los Angeles – Hollywood star Eva Longoria says she wouldn’t trade any of her past failures for success. The 50‑year‑old, best known for her role in Desperate Housewives, told The Sun that her early hardships shaped the woman she is today.
Longoria recalled the days when she moved to Hollywood with only six dollars in her bank account. “I loved that struggle,” she said. “Failures are where you grow and learn.” She added that she was in a “rat race” doing auditions, working in corporate jobs, juggling student loans and paying rent. Those tough times made her appreciate her current life more.
The actress, who has spoken openly about her past relationships and her son with husband José Pérez, said she has no regrets. “I wouldn’t change anything,” she told Female First UK. “I would not give my younger self advice about marriage or driving habits—I love the path I took, flaws and all.”
Longoria grew up on a Texas ranch with chickens, pigs and cows. She remembers her mother, a teacher, who once paid for a Domino’s pizza that the family hid in a neighbor’s trash. “Dad taught us the land would give us what we need,” she recalled. “It was a simple life, but those roots taught me to be grateful.”
The actress’s candidness about failure and gratitude has resonated with fans worldwide. Her journey—from struggling actress to celebrated star—reminds people that every setback can become a stepping‑stone to success.
