Wings of Wisdom Foundation & KJS Ahluwalia Group of Companies Extend Flood Relief to 500 Families in Punjab

In the flood-ravaged districts of Gurdaspur, Fazilka, and Firozpur in Punjab, the Wings of Wisdom Foundation teamed up with KJS Ahluwalia Group of Companies to bring much-needed relief to 500 families. From September 11 to 15, their humanitarian aid drive delivered essential items like rations, clean drinking water, biscuits, medicines, hygiene kits, and bedsheets. This quick support helped families facing tough times get back on their feet with better health and comfort.

Reaching the Hardest-Hit Border Areas

The relief efforts focused on remote villages near the India-Pakistan border, including Hussainiwala and Sulamani—just 1 km away. Floods have wrecked homes and livelihoods here, leaving residents in desperate conditions without steady income. These border communities bore the brunt of the disaster, and the aid arrived just when they needed it most.

A Legacy of Giving Back

Himangini Singh Ahluwalia from KJS Ahluwalia Group shared her thoughts on the partnership. "We’re carrying forward the dream of our founder, the late Shri KJS, who always said real success comes from helping others," she said. The group stays true to this by supporting communities through their CSR programs. They currently aid over 250 underprivileged students in Odisha and New Delhi, plus village adoption projects that provide clean water, electricity, education, and healthcare.

Standing Strong with Punjab’s People

Anuja Naik, Founder of Wings of Wisdom Foundation, emphasized the drive’s importance. "During crises like these floods in Punjab, we step up to support our people side by side," she noted. The initiative ties into UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on restoring dignity, hope, and resilience for flood-affected families.

Co-Founder Samuel Datta added, "Big disasters show us that unity makes us stronger. Every small act of kindness helps rebuild lives in flood-hit areas."

More Than Just Immediate Help

The Wings of Wisdom Foundation doesn’t stop at short-term relief—they’re all about long-term change. In August 2024, they launched the Bal Sansad program in Ludhiana, involving 5,000 students from 50 schools in Children Parliaments. This fun initiative builds leadership, civic skills, and decision-making in kids, earning nods from local authorities for creating tomorrow’s responsible citizens.

Join the Effort for Flood Relief in Punjab

Thousands of families still struggle to recover from the floods, so the foundation calls on everyone—individuals, companies, and groups—to pitch in. Donate, volunteer, or spread the word to make a difference in humanitarian relief efforts.

Together, with compassion and teamwork, we can restore hope in these Punjab flood-affected regions.
