Last week, police received reports of an unprovoked attack that left a 14‑year‑old girl with only minor injuries. The victim was on her way to a gym in Fresh Memorial when a stranger—sporting a backwards baseball cap—punch‑banged her face without any provocation. She was walking the stretch of 184th Street where it meets the Horace Harding Expressway around 11:15 a.m. on Friday, November 26, according to the NYPD.
Thankfully, the girl was not hospitalized and recovered after the brief clash. The attacker fled west on the Expressway and police have posted a video of the suspect strolling along the sidewalk. He was seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a blue jacket, gray pants, and gray sneakers.
Authorities are still looking for the man. Anyone who has information is urged to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1‑800‑577‑TIPS (8477). Spanish‑speaking tips can be made to 1‑888‑57‑PISTA (74782). You can also send a tip via the Crime Stoppers website at or by tweeting to @NYPDTips.
