Some people are hindering our progress: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat

Mumbai, Oct 19 – At a book launch in Mumbai, Reuters‑style reporting shows RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat took a sharp stand against what he sees as obstacles to India’s progress. The charismatic leader urged the nation to return to its own roots and free its mind from “foreign influence.”

Bhagwat told the crowd that India already has a clear path forward and that the world expects it to lead. “Some people are deliberately slowing our progress,” he said, adding that peace is essential to move ahead.

The leader slammed the so‑called “Macaulay Knowledge System” (MKS), arguing that it has turned Indian minds and intellects foreign. He called on Indians to learn the world’s secrets, evaluate them, and then reclaim their own traditional knowledge.

He remembered how ancient Indians shared their culture—math, Ayurveda, scriptures—through barter and goodwill, not conquest. “They traveled in small groups, from India to Mexico and Siberia, enriching people without forcing conversions,” he said.

During the event, Bhagwat also unveiled the Arya Yug Vishay Kosh encyclopedia. He said the spiritual heritage of India is still alive and that, as descendants of the Aryavrat, Indians possess science, strength, faith, and knowledge.

“It is useful to understand knowledge from Western countries, but it is even more important to preserve what our ancestors taught,” Bhagwat said. “Our heritage has been alive for 5,000 years, and we need to reclaim our place.”

In the end, the RSS chief cautioned that India’s future rests on a return to its own learning and values—a message that resonated with thousands at the launch.
