Anupam Kher calls visiting the North Bombay Durga Puja ‘a soulful experience’
Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher soaked up the festive vibes at Mumbai’s North Bombay Durga Puja pandal on Tuesday. He shared a fun video on his Instagram, showing him greeting fans and soaking in the celebrations during the Durga Puja festivities.
In the clip, Kher offers prayers to Maa Durga before posing for photos with director Ayan Mukerji and actress Tanishaa Mukherji. He had a blast and thanked Tanishaa for the warm invite. In his caption, Kher wrote: “It was a beautiful and soulful experience to visit the #DurgaPuja pandal organised by @northbombaydurgapuja and meet so many devotees, friends and well wishers. What a festive atmosphere it had! Special thanks to my dearest @tanishaamukerji for inviting me with so much of love and affection! Great to see #AyanMukherji too! Love and prayers for all! Just a few days earlier on Saturday, Kher headed to the famous Tirupati Balaji temple for a spiritual getaway. He described the visit as a “blissful experience” and praised the incredible progress in the area’s pilgrimage sites. Sharing a video on Instagram where he chats with the media, Kher said in Hindi: “Tirupati Balaji ke darshan karke bahut sukhad anubhuti hui. Hamare desh ke teerth sthanon ki mahima adbhut hai!” which translates to, “After having darshan at Tirupati Balaji, I felt a very blissful vibe. The glory of our country’s pilgrimage spots is truly amazing!”
He added: “Bahut saalon baad aaya tha to Tirupati se Tirumala ki har kshetra mein pragati bemisaal hai! Aap sab ke liye bhi prarthana ki! Jai Balaji!” Meaning, “It’s been many years since my last visit, and the development from Tirupati to Tirumala in every area is outstanding! I prayed for all of you too! Jai Balaji!”
