Rajasthan: Education Minister orders dismissal of teacher accused of molesting minor girl

Rajasthan Minister Orders Immediate Firing of Teacher Accused of Molesting Minor Girl in Dholpur

In a strong move against child safety violations, Rajasthan’s Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar has fired a contractual teacher accused of molesting a Class 7 girl in Dholpur. This shocking incident has sparked outrage, highlighting the urgent need for quick action in child molestation cases.

The victim’s family met Dilawar at his Jaipur residence and shared their heartbreaking story. Acting fast, the minister ordered the immediate dismissal of the accused, Rajendra Sharma, from his job at a government school. He also directed police to arrest Sharma right away and ensure strict legal action.

According to the family’s complaint, the 13-year-old girl from Upper Primary Kids Public School in Barauli attended evening tuition classes with Sharma, son of Yadaram Choubey. On August 4 around 5 p.m., Sharma allegedly molested her and warned her not to tell anyone. Scared and in tears, the girl rushed home and told her mother everything.

The family filed a complaint at Sarmathura police station in Dholpur, but over a month passed without any arrests. Things got even more frustrating when the family claimed Sharma confessed his crime to the village panchayat, apologized at their home, and even recorded a video of it. Yet, he kept working as a teacher in the government school and running his own private school.

Dilawar slammed the local authorities for their delay in handling the child molestation case. "No one guilty of crimes against children or women can stay in service," he said. "Our government has zero tolerance for such acts."

The minister instructed Primary Education Director Sitaram Jat to sack Sharma without delay and asked the Deputy Inspector General of Police to oversee the investigation personally. This quick response from the Rajasthan government aims to push police into action and deliver justice for the victim.

Dilawar stressed that Rajasthan won’t ignore such incidents. Strong measures will follow to protect children and set a tough example for anyone thinking of harming minors. The case now puts fresh focus on teacher accountability and faster police response in molestation allegations across the state.
