Prime Minister Narendra Modi is turning 75 on September 17, and he’s skipping the usual birthday fanfare to focus on something truly special: helping women’s health across India. He’s kicking off a nationwide campaign called ‘Sewa Pakhwada’, or Service Fortnight, right on his birthday. This initiative will roll out health check-up camps in Madhya Pradesh and other states to boost the well-being of women, who make up half of the country’s population.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav shared these exciting details while speaking at the Swadeshi Mela in Bhopal on Tuesday. He couldn’t stop praising PM Modi’s down-to-earth style and dedication to real people. “While others go for big celebrations, PM Modi picks simple service to the poor and women,” Yadav said, highlighting the leader’s humility and focus on grassroots welfare.
This isn’t Modi’s first time tying his birthday to big changes. Last year, he made headlines by bringing cheetahs back to India through the world’s first intercontinental translocation project. Now, on September 17, he’ll also inaugurate India’s very first PM Mitra Park in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh. Short for Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel Park, this massive 2,158-acre project aims to turn the state into a top textile hub.
With investments pouring in—over Rs 12,508 crore from 15 companies—the park will house everything from spinning and weaving units to dyeing and garment manufacturing. It creates a complete value chain that promises huge job opportunities. Yadav pointed out the bright future for Madhya Pradesh’s organic cotton, saying, “Our high-quality cotton will command premium prices on the global market, putting more money straight into farmers’ pockets.”
The PM Mitra Park is set to generate one lakh direct jobs and two lakh indirect ones, perfectly aligning with the Atmanirbhar Bharat push for self-reliance and rural growth. Security teams are already gearing up in Dhar for the PM’s visit, expecting big crowds to join the celebrations.
By launching Sewa Pakhwada for women’s empowerment and the PM Mitra Park for industrial boost, PM Modi is showing his clear vision for inclusive growth and transformation in India. It’s a birthday move that’s all about serving the nation.
