Keanu Reeves’ message as stolen ‘John Wick’ Rolex found in South American crime ring bust
Keanu Reeves has thanked law‑enforcement officials after a stolen “John Wick” Rolex was recovered from a crime ring that robbed his Los Angeles home.
Reeves wrote a handwritten note, addressed to FBI, Los Angeles Police Department, California Highway Patrol and Chilean investigators. He praised their “effort, dedication, professionalism and cross‑border cooperation.”
The robbery, which took place in 2023, saw a gang of criminals break into Reeves’ Hollywood Hills house and loot a collection of high‑value items. A police raid in Santiago, Chile, later revealed the stolen goods were in the hands of a local crime ring.
Among the recovered items are six watches, all part of a gift package given to fans after “John Wick: Chapter 4” wrapped. A Rolex Submariner, insured at $9,500, has a personal inscription from the film on its back. In total, the six watches are worth an estimated $125,000.
Reeves’ note highlighted the worldwide effort needed to bring the thieves to justice. The FBI and Chilean police worked together, searching homes of suspected ring members and finally retrieving the stolen watches.
The case illustrates a growing trend of foreign gangs targeting wealthy Southern California neighborhoods, stealing valuables and returning home with the loot. Thanks to the collaborative investigation, Reeves has his prized “John Wick” watch back in his possession.
