Meta India appoints Aman Jain as new head of public policy

Meta India announced on December 12 that Aman Jain will become its new Head of Public Policy. He is set to start in the role at the beginning of next year, when he will report directly to Simon Milner, Meta’s Vice President of Policy for the Asia Pacific region. In addition to leading policy work, Jain will sit on the company’s India leadership team.

Jain brings over twenty years of experience in public‑policy and business‑strategy roles. He has held senior positions at global firms such as Amazon and Google, worked with the Indian government, and advised various international organisations. While at Google India, he served as Country Head for Government Affairs and Public Policy, and his most recent position was Director of Public Policy at Amazon, where he oversaw strategy in marketplace operations, competition, and technology.

Simon Milner welcomed Jain, noting that India is a key market for Meta, especially as the country’s digital economy expands into areas like artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and the creator economy. “As the country’s digital economy accelerates across areas such as AI, emerging tech and the creator economy, Meta aims to help build a more inclusive, trusted, and future‑ready internet ecosystem for India,” the statement added. Milner said he is excited to have Jain on board and believes his deep expertise will strengthen Meta’s dialogue with regulators and industry partners, while also enhancing the broader APAC policy leadership team.
