Gujarat Launches Women’s Health Campaign on PM Modi’s Birthday
In Bharuch district, Gujarat, the local administration kicked off the "Swasth Nari – Sashakt Parivar" campaign to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. This initiative focuses on women’s health awareness and delivers free medical services right in urban and rural areas.
The health camps target key issues like blood pressure, diabetes, and hemoglobin levels with on-the-spot check-ups. Pregnant women, teenage girls, and women of all ages get nutritional advice, health counseling, and free medicines to stay fit and strong.
Local women like Urmila Pandu and Dimpleben shared their excitement. "It’s so easy to access this free care, and it helps women from all walks of life prioritize their health," one of them said. Dr. Munira Shukla, the Chief District Health Officer in Bharuch, emphasized the campaign’s core message: "A healthy woman builds a strong family." She highlighted how this large-scale effort shows the government’s dedication to preventive healthcare for everyone.
Over the next 15 days, Bharuch will host 3,848 health camps offering 296 different medical services. Among them, 320 special camps will feature experts like gynecologists, pediatricians, and general physicians. These events partner with Bharuch Medical College, Rajpipla Medical College, Sub-Divisional Hospital Jambusar, ESIC Hospital Ankleshwar, PMJAY-empanelled hospitals, and the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Bharuch. On the very first day, hundreds of women turned up for diagnostics and treatments, showing huge community support.

The event, themed "Raktadan Amrit Mahotsav 2.0," marked PM Modi’s 75th birthday and the 61st foundation day of the Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad. It drew crowds eager to donate and save lives.
