Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off a big day for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi by inaugurating the party’s shiny new headquarters on Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg. The event lined up perfectly with the Saptami day of the Navratri festival, adding an extra touch of celebration on this Monday in New Delhi.
This opening marks a huge win for the Delhi BJP unit. Expect a crowd of top leaders and thousands of dedicated party workers to show up, turning it into a lively gathering. Key figures joining in include BJP National President J.P. Nadda, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, senior leaders, Union Ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), councillors, and everyday grassroots volunteers.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva shared the exciting details during a press conference on Sunday. He confirmed Modi’s role in the official ribbon-cutting and called it a “historic moment” for the team. Sachdeva congratulated all Delhi BJP workers on finishing this impressive new building.
Looking back, Sachdeva traced the party’s office journey in Delhi. It started with the first spot at Ajmeri Gate after BJP’s founding. The office later moved to Rakabganj Road for a bit, then stayed put at 14 Pandit Pant Marg for nearly 35 years. Now, they’ve got their own dedicated space on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg—a tough but rewarding path, he said.
The foundation stone for this new Delhi BJP office went in back on June 9, 2023, thanks to Nadda’s efforts. Sachdeva gave shoutouts to Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Nadda for their strong guidance. Under their watch, the BJP aimed to build party offices in every state capital and district across India. That push not only sorted out old land issues for the Delhi spot but also got the construction done on time.
Plus, all 14 organizational districts in Delhi now boast their own offices, showing the party’s real focus on building strength from the ground up.
