Rs 2 lakh cr investment to be launched simultaneously, historic moment for MP: CM Yadav (IANS Interview)

Bhopal – Dec. 13 (LatestNewsX) – Chief Minister Mohan Yadav marked his second anniversary in office by reflecting on what he calls an ongoing journey of growth, job creation and cultural revitalisation in Madhya Pradesh. In a solo interview for LatestNewsX, he outlined the administration’s priorities: fighting extremism, helping former Maoists reintegrate, and gearing up for the massive Simhastha Kumbh to be held in 2028.
He also shared a vision that hinges on Sanatan values and expanding religious tourism, which he believes will lift the state’s economy and improve the standard of living for all its people.
LatestNewsX: As you hit the two‑year mark, how do you assess the state’s development progress?
Mohan Yadav: We’re pushing ahead relentlessly. On Atal Ji’s birthday, we hosted the Union Home Minister to underscore our resolve. The Bhoomi Poojan ceremony, slated to coincide with a ₹2 lakh crore investment, will be a milestone for us. Development isn’t a one‑off event; it’s a continuous endeavor that we’re determined to bring reach every corner of the state.LatestNewsX: Employment has topped the national agenda. What steps are you taking?
Mohan Yadav: We’ve filled 60,000 government posts and about 200,000 people found work in the private sector. This underscores our dual focus on state hiring and creating an environment where businesses can thrive and generate large‑scale jobs.LatestNewsX: How has the government approached Maoist activity and the reintegration of those who surrender?
Mohan Yadav: We’re clear on our stance. Those who lay down arms will receive full rehabilitation and benefits under our policy, while those who continue to fight against the state are met with firm action. Last year alone, we neutralised more than ten Maoists, and we’re committed to keeping violence out of our state. Simultaneously, we’re building a supportive path for those ready to surrender and rebuild a life of peace.LatestNewsX: The upcoming Simhastha Kumbh of 2028 is a huge event. How is the state preparing?
Mohan Yadav: It’s not just a local gathering; it will be a global festival. We’re looking beyond immediate logistics to showcase Madhya Pradesh to the world as the host of the world’s biggest religious fair. Our preparations aim to maximise the boost to religious tourism.LatestNewsX: Sanatan culture is a recurring theme in your speeches. How do you see it shaping the state’s identity and economy?
Mohan Yadav: As a proud Sanatani, I see Sanatan as a set of values that transcends any single religion, binding people together. Take Ujjain: before the Mahakal Lok initiative, the city attracted 3–3.5 million visitors annually. Now it welcomes over 70 million, transforming its economy and demonstrating how promoting our cultural heritage can elevate prosperity for all.
