Baloch Women’s Forum slams Pakistan’s deadly drone strikes on civilians in Balochistan’s Zehri region

In a strong show of outrage, the Baloch Women’s Forum (BWF) has condemned Pakistani forces for launching brutal aerial bombardments on innocent people in Balochistan’s Zehri area. They called these attacks a fresh example of Pakistan’s ongoing cruelty toward the Baloch community.

The criticism follows a deadly late-night strike on Wednesday in the Terasani (Qazib) neighborhood of Khuzdar district. Pakistani military drones and air raids hit residential homes, killing three civilians—including two women—and injuring five others, one of them a young four-year-old child. This incident has sparked widespread anger over the targeting of everyday families in Balochistan.

In their statement, BWF highlighted how such drone strikes and aerial attacks, often seen in border conflicts, have sadly become a regular terror tactic against Balochistan’s indigenous people. “We’ve lost countless lives to these assaults in places like Tump, Panjgur, and the Marri and Bugti regions,” the group said. “Now, Zehri in Khuzdar is in the spotlight, and we’re worried this could lead to even more attacks on harmless Baloch civilians.”

The forum made it clear they oppose any violence that takes innocent lives in Balochistan. “From day one, we’ve rejected these cowardly acts, no matter who’s behind them—even if it’s a state agency,” they added. They accused Pakistan’s law enforcement of hiding behind labels like “insurgents” to justify killing civilians, calling it a shameful cover for illegal and inhumane actions.

BWF stressed that no national or international law allows attacks on ordinary people in Balochistan. They urged everyone to speak out against these human rights violations everywhere.

The group demanded immediate justice for the Zehri drone strike victims. “We want a full investigation, court trials for those responsible, and fair compensation for the families of the dead and injured,” their statement read.

Balochistan, already known as a hotspot for human rights abuses, needs urgent change, according to BWF. They called for an end to all such violations and real efforts to address the Baloch people’s long-standing grievances right away. This latest Balochistan conflict news has put the spotlight on the growing tensions and the need for peace in the region.
