Chandigarh, Nov 13 – Haryana Police’s statewide “Operation Track Down” has netted 1,631 criminals, including 319 well‑known interstate offenders, the police said Thursday.

Led by Director General of Police O. P. Singh, the operation has been praised for its sharp intelligence work, fast coordination and use of technology. It has taken down links across the state and is turning the police into a model of quick, precise action.

Key arrests so far

  • Ambala – Police busted four key members of an Iranian crime ring that has stolen gold and diamonds in over 105 incidents across India. Arrested were Ghulam Abbas (Rihana Razvi), Mohammad Khan, Akbar Miyan Sheikh and Asadullah Khan (Kaliya). Police also seized four mobile phones, four SIM cards and two scooters used in the thefts.

  • Dabwali (Sirsa) – In a rapid strike, three drug traffickers were caught with 256.13 g of heroin worth roughly ₹1.25 crore. Investigators found the men were already charged with multiple murder and arms‑violation cases in Punjab and Haryana.

  • Yamunanagar – The district crime branch arrested Manish Singari (Mannu) and Tarun Singari (Tannu), two notorious Kala Rana gang members wanted for attempted murder, extortion, fraud and Arms Act violations. Their capture halted the gang’s illegal activities.

  • Palwal – The police, in cooperation with the STF unit, caught Chandrabhan from Narwana, Jind district. He had been on the run for a murder case that has a ₹5,000 reward on his head. The case stems from the February 2024 killing of Dharambir, with main accused Ravindra and his wife Kanti already in custody.

Operation Track Down shows Haryana Police’s zero‑tolerance stance on drug trafficking, murder, fraud, extortion and cybercrime. DGP Singh stated that the crackdown would keep going “relentlessly until a crime‑free environment is established across the state.”

The campaign continues as police teams move across Haryana, tightening the net on established criminal networks and new offenders alike. The message is clear: crime pays no price in Haryana.
