In Anta, Rajasthan, senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot spoke to a crowd rallying behind his party’s candidate, Pramod Jain Bhaiya. Pilot highlighted that most of Anta’s new roads, schools and public works were built while Congress held office, underscoring the party’s focus on local progress.
He clarified that the BJP MLA’s disqualification came from a court judgment—not a Congress decision. “The by‑election is a direct outcome of that court ruling,” Pilot said. He framed the Anta contest as more than one seat; it is a gauge of how voters view the BJP government’s performance over the past two years. “The BJP has broken promises and betrayed public trust,” he added.
Pilot also pointed to visible cracks within the BJP’s ranks, noting that divisions were clear during ticket distribution. Despite that, he expressed confidence that Congress will win the by‑election by a sizable majority, saying that all 36 communities in Anta back the party.
He urged voters to use the government’s machinery but emphasized that “the people are with us.” Pilot said Pramod Jain Bhaiya’s victory would set a national example of strong, transparent governance.
Shifting focus to national politics, Pilot praised the Grand Alliance in Bihar, claiming it is poised for a decisive win and that voters there are ready to end a two‑decade‑old status quo.
Pilot closed by urging residents of Anta to support Congress for continued development and honest leadership.
