Rajasthan Cabinet Meeting: Key Decisions Ahead of PM Modi’s Big Visit

Jaipur is buzzing with activity as Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma gears up for a crucial cabinet meeting today. This comes just days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s high-profile visit to Rajasthan on September 25. The meeting in Jaipur will dive deep into preparations for the PM’s trip and tackle several important proposals from key departments.

Sources close to the government reveal that the agenda includes updates from the Revenue, Personnel, Energy, Urban Development, and Rural Development departments. Ministers will also chat about setting up urban and rural service camps to help people access government schemes easily. It’s all about boosting public welfare and smooth governance in Rajasthan.

The spotlight, of course, falls on PM Modi’s visit to Banswara. There, he’ll kick off the Mahi-Banswara Nuclear Power Plant by laying its foundation stone. This ambitious project, the country’s largest nuclear power initiative, carries an estimated cost of Rs 45,000 crore. Located near the Mahi Dam on the Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh border, it falls under India’s Nuclear Energy Mission. Experts say it will play a huge role in strengthening energy security and pushing clean energy goals for a greener future.

On top of that, PM Modi will launch development projects worth a whopping Rs 1.21 lakh crore. These initiatives will benefit Rajasthan and neighboring states, focusing on infrastructure, jobs, and growth.

Yesterday, CM Sharma already held a high-level meeting at his office to check on the preparations. Officials stress that today’s cabinet session will fine-tune everything, ensuring all departments work hand-in-hand for a seamless event. "We’re leaving no stone unturned to make this visit a grand success," one official shared.

Another hot topic could be the long-awaited MLA salary hike bill. Last time, the cabinet discussed raising legislators’ salaries but put it on hold. CM Sharma asked for a comparison with other states’ MLA pay structures. With that report now ready, the proposal might get the green light today.

Overall, the meeting highlights Rajasthan government’s focus on infrastructure boosts, better governance, and people-friendly initiatives. As the state prepares for PM Modi’s arrival, expect some big announcements that could shape Rajasthan’s development path. Stay tuned for updates from Jaipur!
