Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Nava Raipur on Saturday to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Chhattisgarh’s statehood. The visit was part of a large state festival that drew thousands of residents and local leaders.
At the festival, Modi turned the key on new projects that add up to Rs 14,300 crore. The money will fund roads, bridges, homes, power supply and rural development. The chief minister of Chhattisgarh said the projects will give the state a new push toward growth.
People in the crowd voiced their thanks for central government schemes that have raised living standards across the state. “The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is giving permanent homes to rural families,” said Turang Kumar Sahu. He added that these projects bring Chhattisgarh closer to Modi’s dream of a developed India by 2047.
Arun Kumar Sahu noted that each visit brings fresh initiatives. “Today’s launch gives fresh momentum to our development plans,” he told reporters.
Tajinder Kanaujia praised Modi for fulfilling former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s vision. “With Rs 14,300 crore worth of projects, the people now have more than they dreamed of,” he said, highlighting the impact on the poorest families.
Toran Yadav called the day a proud moment, saying central schemes now reach the grassroots. “Modi’s leadership is speeding India’s progress and turning the ‘Developed India 2047’ vision into reality,” he added.
Devanand Banjare was moved by the new housing scheme: “The Awas Yojana made my dream of a permanent home a reality.”
Neelkanth Yadav welcomed the projects. “Government schemes are helping villages; everyone is reaping the benefits,” he said.
Bharat Taunsi praised the range of federal programs, including the Kisan Samman Nidhi for farmers and solar‑power initiatives that are improving local livelihoods.
Modi’s visit to Chhattisgarh marked a milestone in the state’s growth story. By launching large infrastructure and social‑development projects, the centre aims to make Chhattisgarh a model for rural progress and affordable housing across India.
