Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched three exciting new academic programs on Thursday, aiming to transform education in government schools. These include the NEEEV (New Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Development Scheme), Science of Living, and Rashtraneeti (National Policy) curricula. The launch happened at Bharat Mandapam, with Education Minister Ashish Sood and top officials joining in.
Gupta shared her vision during the event: “We want to gear up our students for tomorrow’s world by blending bookish knowledge with real-life skills and a strong sense of duty to society.” She called this a game-changer for Delhi’s education system, rolling out the programs to millions of kids in all government schools to build a stronger nation.
The NEEEV curriculum sparks a business mindset right from childhood, teaching entrepreneurship and even dipping into artificial intelligence (AI). Gupta stressed that it will turn students into self-reliant creators of jobs, not just seekers. “Our goal is to make them competent and independent,” she said.
Then there’s the Science of Living program, which focuses on shaping well-rounded personalities. It builds emotional intelligence, kindness, and compassion, helping kids grow holistically while staying connected to their community.
The Rashtraneeti curriculum dives into national policy, fostering responsible citizenship and civic awareness.
Gupta revealed that these Delhi education initiatives have already reached teachers, tying into the Seva Pakhwada (Fortnight of Service) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s big ideas for the country. She promised full support for schools—no skimping on basics like toilets, labs, playgrounds, or other facilities.
Her focus? Not fancy buildings or flyovers, but top-notch schools and quality education for every child. She urged teachers to champion this mission, so Delhi’s government schools lead the way, churning out skilled citizens who contribute to India’s growth.
This push for innovative curricula in Delhi schools could set a new standard for student development across the nation.
