The second phase of Bihar’s assembly polls just closed, and a wave of exit polls released on Tuesday points to a clear advantage for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Analysts say the numbers suggest BJP‑led coalition will likely secure a decisive majority.

BJP leaders burst into celebration, calling the outcome “a fresh mandate for strong leadership, development and stability.” BJP state chief Dilip Jaiswal thanked voters, party workers and NDA allies, saying the trust shown by Bihar’s citizens is a “vote of confidence” in the alliance’s vision. “People of Bihar want development and strong leadership,” he said, adding that the record‑breaking turnout shows the state’s unwavering democratic faith.

Jaiswal also praised the Election Commission and local administration for keeping the voting process peaceful and transparent. He described the high voter turnout and exit‑poll trends as a “decisive step towards a prosperous, strong and developed Bihar.”

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary echoed the sentiment, thanking voters and NDA partners. He highlighted that this turnout—over 68 % in the second phase—represents the highest in Bihar since independence. “We will break the 2010 figures, and the NDA government will be formed in Bihar with a huge majority,” he said. Choudhary noted the exit polls already show the NDA in the lead and thanked people for voting with the state’s future in mind.

Both leaders underscored that the elections represent a golden opportunity for Bihar’s democracy. As the final results are expected on Nov. 14, the prevailing narrative is that the NDA’s message of development and good governance resonated with the electorate.

Key takeaways:
• Exit polls on Tuesday suggest a strong lead for the NDA.
• BJP president Dilip Jaiswal credits voters, workers and the election machinery for the results.
• Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary hails record voter turnout and the historic prospects for the alliance.
• The political scene in Bihar is set for a potentially landslide outcome in favor of the NDA.
