Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel kicked off the Vibrant Navratri Festival 2025 with a spectacular launch at Ahmedabad’s GMDC Ground on Monday. The event featured a lively cultural show by more than 1,000 artists, all centered on the theme “Aahvaan Ma Aadhya Shakti,” which honors the invocation of the divine Aadhya Shakti.
Once the performances wrapped up, Patel led ministers and guests in a heartfelt Aarti for Goddess Jagdamba, followed by a grand Maha Aarti to kickstart the celebrations. The festival highlights India’s rich traditions, culture, and devotion during Navratri.
Joining Patel were key figures like Tourism and Cultural Activities Minister Mulubhai Bera, Ministers of State Jagdish Vishwakarma and Kunvarji Halpati, and Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibha Jain.
In his Navratri greetings, Patel praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s push for Next-Gen GST Reforms, set to launch on the festival’s first day. “This will turn Vibrant Navratri and Diwali Deepotsav into not just joyful holidays, but a real savings boost for everyone in India,” he said.
Echoing Modi’s vision for Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Patel encouraged festival-goers to stick to Swadeshi products—from dandiya sticks and jewelry to cosmetics—to support local makers.
Before the main inauguration, Patel toured the festival’s fun spots. He checked out a thematic exhibition on “Nav Sankalp,” snapped photos at selfie zones and photo points, explored the kid-friendly Kids City, grabbed a bite at the food court, and browsed the handicraft market. He even chatted with women from self-help groups running the stalls.
Patel also unveiled a multimedia exhibit on “11 Years of Good Governance,” put together by the Central Bureau of Communication.
Ahmedabad MLAs, Chief Secretary Pankaj Joshi, Tourism Secretary Rajender Kumar, Tourism Corporation MD Prabhav Joshi, and other officials attended the event. Throngs of locals, plus visitors from across India and overseas, dove into the excitement of Vibrant Navratri Festival 2025.
