In the run‑up to this year’s Bihar Assembly elections, leaders from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are sharpening their seat‑sharing plans in Delhi and Patna.
Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, a top figure in the Hindustani Awam Morcha, posted on X that he will stay loyal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi “until my last breath.” He added that Bihar will see prosperity under the current government and its partner Nitish Kumar in the coming years.
BJP brass, including state president Dilip Jaiswal and former provincial chiefs Samrat Choudhary and Mangal Pandey, are in the capital negotiating the exact distribution of seats. Meanwhile the BJP Central Election Committee has opened meetings to finalise candidate lists for the 243‑seat assembly.
A key roundtable took place at the home of BJP president and Union Minister JP Nadda, where senior NDA leaders—Amit Shah, Jitan Ram Manjhi, 바이크 Bihar in‑charge Vinod Tawde, and others—discussed strategy ahead of the polls that will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with counting on November 14.
The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) held a central parliamentary board meeting in Delhi, chaired by party chief Chirag Paswan, to decide its own seat‑sharing arrangement.
Meanwhile Independent MP Pappu Yadav of Purnea stressed the importance of the Grand Alliance, calling the contest a battle between “destruction and development.” He urged that the strengths of parties like Congress, led by Rahul Gandhi, should be used to win Bihar.
The BJP‑led NDA will face the INDIA bloc, headed by the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Tejashwi Yadav, along with the Congress, CPI(ML) Liberation, CPI, CPI(M), and the Vikasheel Insaan Party led by Mukesh Sahani.
This election also brings new competition, as political strategist Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj party announces its entry into the Bihar fray.
Bihar voters can expect a lively campaign as alliances solidify and candidates step forward; the stakes are high for both sides in shaping the state’s future.
