In a recent development in Bihar politics, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the RJD and Congress of making offensive remarks about his mother during their rally. He claimed that party workers from the Mahagathbandhan had used abusive language about his mother from their stage.
However, the RJD strongly denied these allegations. RJD spokesperson Chittaranjan Gagan emphasized that there was no connection between the accused and their party. He stated, “No matter whose mother she is, she is honorable for everyone.” Gagan also demanded strict action against those responsible for the alleged insult to the Prime Minister’s mother.
Gagan challenged the BJP’s accusations by pointing out several past incidents where women from opposition parties, or their family members, were targeted with insults by BJP leaders. He mentioned that Tejashwi Yadav’s mother, Bihar’s only woman Chief Minister, was insulted in the Assembly. He also pointed out that Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi’s mother, had been called names like “bar owner” and “Jersey cow.” Rahul Gandhi himself was mockingly called a “hybrid,” and Mamata Banerjee was labeled with the “Didi O Didi” insult. Gagan added that even female MPs and their spouses have been targeted with disrespectful comments by BJP figures.
He further accused Union Ministers and BJP spokespeople of using derogatory words like “buffalo thief,” “mujra performer,” and “Rs 50 lakh girlfriend” against opposition leaders and their families.
Gagan blamed the BJP’s tactics on fear of losing power. He said, “This false propaganda is a strategy to create controversy, but it will backfire. The BJP’s attempt to stir trouble with lies will ultimately harm them.”
This exchange highlights the ongoing political tension between the opposition parties and the BJP in Bihar, with both sides accusing each other of disrespect and false allegations.
