Lucknow, Oct. 13 – Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath told residents that the “Viksit Uttar Pradesh” programme is gathering huge support, with the state receiving 40 lakh (4 million) suggestions so far. He said the initiative, part of the larger “Viksit Bharat @ 2047” plan, is moving forward smoothly.
The Information and Public Relations Department urged citizens to add their ideas for a stronger, more inclusive Uttar Pradesh. Submit suggestions using the QR code at any government office or online at samarthuttarpradesh.up.gov.in. Citizen input is key to achieving the state’s Vision 2047.
At the same event, CM Adityanath highlighted a new sports drive. The Youth Welfare Department will supply sports kits to more than 16,000 Yuva Mangal and Mahila Mangal teams across the state, helping the department’s effort to raise over 105,000 Mangal Dal members. The kits include volleyball, football, badminton and other games, arriving ahead of Diwali.
“We want every youth and woman team to champion the state’s culture in local events, like village‑level Ram‑lila shows,” he said. “Sports keep people healthy and spark community spirit.”
Adityanath also linked the initiative to national programmes such as Khelo India and the Fit India Movement. He announced plans to extend the MLA and MP sports competition to the gram panchayat level, a move that aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
“The competition not only promotes healthy rivalry but also creates jobs and boosts self‑reliance,” the CM added. He applauded Uttar Pradesh Police for their recent successes and noted that over 500 police officers are now professional sportspersons.
To join the movement, residents can access the suggestions portal at samarthuttarpradesh.up.gov.in and participate in the state’s growing sports and development programmes.
