In Jodhpur, Rajasthan, a major three-day meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its affiliated organizations has kicked off. The event started on Friday with a solemn inauguration by RSS chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat and General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale. They paid tribute by offering flowers to the picture of Bharat Mata, symbolizing India’s spirit and unity.
The gathering began with everyone reciting their organizational mantra together, setting the tone for the next few days. From September 7 to 9, top leaders from 32 organizations across India are participating in this important event.
Notable leaders include senior RSS officials like the six Sahasarkaryavahs, VHP President Alok Kumar, Rashtriya Sevika Samiti’s Chief Director Shanta Akka, ABVP President Dr. Rajsharan Shahi, Saksham President Dr. Dayal Singh Pawar, and several others. Leaders from the BJP, including National President Jagat Prakash Nadda and Organisation Minister B.L. Santhosh, are also attending to discuss future plans.
The venue has been beautifully decorated to showcase India’s rich heritage of struggle and sacrifice. Visitors enter through gates named after historic figures like Rani Abakka and the Haldighati battle. Inside, colorful rangoli artwork celebrates famous figures such as Meera Bai and Amrita Devi, highlighting themes of devotion, bravery, and environmental sacrifice.
The main focus of this meeting is to review past work, share experiences, and plan for the future. Discussions will cover the celebrations of Sangh Shatabdi (Centenary Year), promoting social harmony through Panch Parivartan initiatives, encouraging environmental awareness, and strengthening community efforts. The attendees will also focus on implementing the National Education Policy 2020 and boosting development in tribal areas.
This coordination meet serves as a common platform for organizations to align their strategies, reflect together, and set directions for the coming year. According to Sunil Ambekar, Abha Prachar Pramukh of RSS, the event is not about making decisions but about sharing ideas and inspiring each other. Each group will then take these insights to develop their own action plans.
Overall, this gathering highlights the RSS’s focus on unity, cultural pride, and social development as India moves forward into its next centenary year.
