Tejashwi Yadav Slams Bihar Government Over Threats to RJD Workers in Mai Behin Maan Yojana

In Patna, RJD leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has hit out hard at the ruling government. He claims his party workers face threats and arrests while collecting forms from women for the Mai Behin Maan Yojana, a key initiative ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.

Tejashwi spoke to reporters in Patna and didn’t hold back. "We’re a political party, and our workers are simply filling forms under the Mai Behin Maan Yojana. If this is illegal, the government should say so in writing," he said. He accused ministers and even Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary of getting workers jailed, with the administration scaring people away. "This won’t fly," Tejashwi added firmly.

The RJD leader promised to fight back legally. "We’ll take such officials to court. Our workers don’t need to fear threats—we stand rock-solid with them," he declared. The Mai Behin Maan Yojana, launched recently by RJD, focuses on women’s welfare and serves as a major election promise to boost support among female voters in Bihar.

But the ruling NDA isn’t buying it. They accuse RJD of twisting welfare schemes for political gains, sparking heated debates between the two sides. This clash highlights the growing tensions in Bihar politics as the assembly polls approach.

Switching gears, Tejashwi hailed the Supreme Court’s recent order making Aadhaar cards mandatory for voter lists. He called it a big win for the opposition. "This is our victory! We’ve demanded this for ages, and we thank the Supreme Court," he said, emphasizing how it strengthens election transparency in India.

On the Vice President election, where NDA’s C.P. Radhakrishnan won, Tejashwi brushed it off. "Win or lose doesn’t matter—we made our point loud and clear," he remarked. But he raised eyebrows over the whole process, questioning why it happened at all. "Is Jagdeep Dhankhar really ill, or is something fishy going on? Where is he? Has he been under house arrest?" Tejashwi asked, fueling speculation about the circumstances.

As Bihar gears up for the assembly elections, these exchanges show how fiercely parties are battling for votes, especially with schemes like Mai Behin Maan Yojana at the center. Stay tuned for more updates on Bihar politics and Tejashwi Yadav’s moves.
