Announced in mid-September, this venture brings together Croatian sports leader Fredi Fiorentini and Indian-born entrepreneur Sudheesh Avikkal to build a world-class destination for athletes, fans, and everyone who loves sports.
Fiorentini, a kinesiology expert and longtime director of the famous HNK Hajduk Split football club, knows Split’s sports scene inside out. He’s helped shape landmarks like Poljud Stadium and Spaladium Arena over decades of hands-on experience. Teaming up with him is Avikkal, a savvy businessman with a strong background in finance, trade, and global ventures. Avikkal will handle the commercial side, forging international partnerships to make the Sports City a success.
The plan calls for a full-fledged sports ecosystem right on Split’s stunning Adriatic coast. Expect top-notch training academies, multi-sport arenas, modern wellness centers, and fun fan zones where people can get up close with the action. Everything will follow eco-friendly designs, using sustainable innovation to protect the environment while delivering elite facilities.
