Ayushmann Khurrana thanks David Beckham for his work on Children’s safety & gender empowerment

On November 30 in Mumbai, actor Ayushmann Khurrana publicly thanked the legendary footballer David Beckham for his tireless advocacy on children’s safety and gender empowerment.
Through the Stories feature on his Instagram, he posted, “Children’s safety and gender empowerment is a global issue that needs immediate attention. David works relentlessly alongside me to bring these issues into public consciousness. (sic)”.
He welcomed Beckham to the country with a note that read, “Always a pleasure having you here @davidbeckham- India welcomes you with love and appreciation for your constant support towards our country. (raised hands emoji).”
When Beckham visited a school in Visakhapatnam, Ayushmann remarked that “David Beckham is an icon who leads from the front to bring focus to so many societal issues that affect people worldwide.”
Celebrating the former England captain’s affection for India and his dedication to social causes, the “Badhaai Ho” star added, “It is incredible to see his commitment to social good and his love for India. His visits to our country inspire people to do good and bring global attention to our needs. He is a true friend of India.”
He expressed personal gratitude, stating, “I’m deeply thankful for his efforts. It is truly a pleasure to be advocating for the same causes as fellow UNICEF ambassadors,” he added.
Ayushmann serves as UNICEF India’s National Ambassador, while Beckham is the country’s Goodwill Ambassador, and they have teamed up to raise awareness on these urgent topics.
In upcoming work, Ayushmann will share the screen with Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi in the anticipated entertainer “Pati Patni Aur Woh Do,” directed by Mudassar Aziz, slated for a Holi release on March 4 next year.
