In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined a special event to honor the 17th death anniversary of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Swami Haryacharya Ji Maharaj. The gathering took place in the holy city of Ayodhya Dham, where Yogi paid emotional tributes to the revered saint.
Speaking to the crowd, Yogi Adityanath praised Swami Haryacharya Ji’s key role in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and his deep commitment to Sanatan Dharma’s spiritual traditions. “It’s a true honor to visit this sacred land of Ayodhya Dham and bow to its blessed soil,” he shared.
Yogi also talked about a recent visit by Mauritius Prime Minister Navin Chandra Ramgoolam and his delegation. They visited the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple for darshan of Shri Ram Lalla and asked about the temple’s long journey. “I told them it took around 500 years,” Yogi explained. “For five centuries, devoted believers fought tough battles for their faith, facing endless challenges, and finally triumphed.”
He highlighted the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya as a massive milestone, especially the Pran Pratishtha ceremony for Shri Ram Lalla’s idol. “Our goal was clear: build the Ram Temple. Saints like Swami Haryacharya Ji chanted one mantra—’Ram Lalla, we are coming to build your temple.’ Their dedication and struggles turned into this stunning reality we see today.”
Yogi shared personal memories of his bond with the saint. “I spent years connected to Gorakshapeeth’s initiatives, guided by Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Swami Haryacharya Ji. He offered wisdom every year, inspiring values, ideals, and a fierce passion for Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.”
Despite his high status as Jagadguru, Yogi noted the saint’s simple and humble nature. “He joined every effort for Sanatan Dharma’s unity with total humility, no matter what.”
On this anniversary, Yogi said, “We remember this great Gurudev and pay our respects. With deep respect, I offer my tributes on this special platform.”
Finally, Yogi Adityanath reflected on how the Ram Temple fulfills the dreams of saints like Swami Haryacharya Ji. “Today, their souls must find ultimate peace seeing Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. This victory belongs to millions of Sanatan Dharma devotees, born from the saints’ tireless penance and fight. Witnessing the temple’s grand form brings them eternal joy.”
