A pair of burglars with a taste for the high‑end made off with more than $550,000 in designer goods and cash from a Bronx apartment last month, police said. They slipped into the Morris Heights building at Undercliff Avenue and West 175th Street around 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 25, burst into the rental unit, and ransacked it.
The loot included about $200,000 worth of Louis Vuitton shoes, $100,000 of Chanel bags, $150,000 in jewelry, and roughly $104,000 in cash. Nobody was home at the time, so the thieves sprinted out with the loot, authorities reported.
At the time it wasn’t clear whether the suspects knew the tenants. The NYPD posted surveillance footage of the two men over the weekend, and they remain at large as of Tuesday.
One suspect was described as a light‑skinned male seen wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, black sneakers, and carrying a camouflage backpack. The other was a medium‑skinned male last spotted in a black hooded sweatshirt, a dark‑colored vest, black jeans, and black sneakers.
