“I was so excited!” the actor admitted when he first heard the rumor that he was “doing it” with Ms. Obama — a claim he insists is entirely baseless, noting that he has never even met her.
According to Nanjiani, the head‑lining detail came from a mutual friend who leaned in and whispered, “Hey, so I heard that Kumail and Michelle Obama are like doing it.” Emily wasn’t upset by the story, but the buzz spread quickly enough that other people started bringing it up to Nanjiani during the conversation.
