India’s women’s cricket team just became World Cup champions, and the country’s biggest stars are celebrating. On X, superstar Rajinikanth sent a heartfelt tribute to the squad that beat South Africa by 52 runs in the final. The win, led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur, gives India its first ICC Women’s World Cup title.

Rajinikanth’s post read: “What a glorious moment for India! Our Women in Blue have redefined courage, grace, and power. You carried the tricolour with fearless, unbreakable spirit. Many congratulations! History has been made. Jai Hind.” His message was repeated by fellow actors Kamal Haasan, Arun Vijay, Mahesh Babu, Gopichand and Manchu Manoj, all hailing the team’s triumph and saying it will inspire future generations.

In the final, Shafali Verma topped the scores with 87, Deepti Sharma steadied the middle overs with a calm 58, and Richa Ghosh added a crucial 34. Together they crushed South Africa, sealing India’s spot as the world’s best.

The victory is already being celebrated across India. Fans and celebrities alike are praising the “Women in Blue” for their skill, resilience and historic success. With the tricolour flying high, India’s women have carved a proud new chapter in cricket history.
