Trump suggests murdered Rob Reiner drove people ‘crazy’ with ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’
On Monday morning, President Trump took to Truth Social to say that the late actor‑director Rob Reiner had “driven people CRAZY.” He blamed Reiner’s outspoken criticism of the president for the violent act that ended the filmmaker’s life.
Reiner, 78, and his wife Michele, 68, were found murdered in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home Sunday afternoon. Their son Nick has been apprehended in connection with the crime.
Trump’s post began with: “A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind‑crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS.”
He went on to add: “He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace!”
Reiner was the force behind classic films such as “This Is Spinal Tap,” “Stand By Me,” and “When Harry Met Sally,” and had long been a prominent liberal Democrat and major contributor to the party.
