President Trump revealed on Sunday that he plans to publish the findings of the MRI he had performed last month, saying he wasn’t told which part of his body was imaged.
“If you want to have it released, I’ll release it,” the 79‑year‑old said to reporters while flying back to Washington, DC from his Mar‑a‑Lago resort where he spent Thanksgiving.
He originally mentioned the scan on Oct. 27, noting it was done during a check‑up at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Oct. 10 and that the procedure was “perfect.”
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt added that the imaging was “advanced imaging” and that the results showed Trump is in “exceptional physical health.”
While aboard Air Force One, Trump admitted he had “no idea” what area of his body was being examined.
“It was just an MRI,” he explained. “What part of the body? It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it.”
MRIs are commonly used to spot a range of medical issues, from tumors and muscle tears to bone fractures.
White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella had earlier described the president as being in “excellent health” after an April 11 examination that the White House identified as an “annual physical,” the routine yearly exam most presidents undergo.
In a memo following the October check‑up, Barbabella repeated that “President Trump continues to demonstrate excellent overall health. His cardiac age—validated through an ECG—was found to be roughly 14 years younger than his chronological age.” He added, “He continues to maintain a demanding daily schedule.”
