Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant sent warm 75th birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praising his strong leadership that will guide India to new heights. Speaking to reporters in Mumbai on Tuesday, Sawant said on behalf of the Goa government and its people, "The incredible progress in infrastructure and human resource development under PM Modi’s tenure is unmatched. His vision will take our nation forward."
Union Minister Piyush Goyal echoed the sentiments earlier that day, calling PM Modi the country’s most popular leader. "He’s lifted India to new levels of development," Goyal told reporters in Mumbai. He highlighted how PM Modi’s reforms, like GST, have made life easier for every Indian citizen by ensuring growth reaches everyone, no matter where they live.
To celebrate PM Modi’s 75th birthday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) kicks off a special 15-day nationwide campaign called Seva Pakhwada. Union Minister Bhupender Yadav announced it will run from September 17 to October 2, starting on the PM’s birthday and ending on Gandhi Jayanti. Expect blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and exhibitions across India showcasing the central government’s key achievements.
Adding to the festivities, the National Award-winning film Chalo Jeete Hain gets a special re-release in theaters nationwide from September 17. This inspiring movie pays tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy: "Bas wahi jeete hain, jo doosro ke liye jeete hain" – meaning only those who live for others truly succeed.
On the international front, US President Donald Trump called PM Modi to wish him a happy 75th birthday. In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump wrote: "Just had a wonderful phone call with my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wished him a very Happy Birthday! He is doing a tremendous job. Narendra: Thank you for your support on ending the War between Russia and Ukraine! President DJT."
PM Modi responded warmly, thanking Trump and reaffirming his commitment to strengthening the India-US Comprehensive Global Partnership. It’s a great example of the strong ties between the two leaders as India continues to shine on the world stage.
