Ahmedabad, Nov 27 (LatestNewsX) – Adani Defence Systems & Technologies Ltd (ADSTL) and Prime Aero Services LLP have closed a deal to buy a controlling share in Flight Simulation Technique Centre Pvt Ltd (FSTC), India’s biggest independent provider of flight training and simulation. The transaction values the company at ₹820 crore, according to the companies’ statement released Thursday.
FSTC runs 11 state‑of‑the‑art full‑flight simulators and 17 training aircraft, delivering a full spectrum of pilot instruction—from commercial licences and type ratings to recurrent programmes and niche skill courses.
The company holds certifications from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). It operates modern simulation hubs in Gurugram and Hyderabad, both of which have space for further expansion, and it runs two of India’s largest flying schools in Bhiwani and Narnaul, Haryana.
With the defence‑pilot market expanding rapidly, FSTC is positioning itself to take advantage of the growing focus on simulator‑based training, a model that has already reduced costs and boosted safety in civil aviation. The firm has outlined aggressive plans to broaden its footprint in both the defence and civil arenas.
“This acquisition marks a key milestone in our plan to build a fully integrated aviation services platform,” said Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence & Aerospace. “By adding FSTC to our portfolio alongside Air Works and Indamer Technics, we can now support customers across civil MRO, general aviation MRO, defence MRO, and comprehensive flight‑training offerings.”
He added, “With Indian airlines projecting the addition of more than 1,500 aircraft, the demand for certified pilots will rise sharply. At the same time, the government’s emphasis on advanced training and mission rehearsal for the armed forces opens up new prospects for defence simulation. Consistent with our commitment to building a secure nation, we aim to nurture the next generation of Indian defence pilots.”
ADSTL is a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL). Horizon Aero Solutions Limited (HASL)—a joint venture between ADSTL and Prime Aero Services LLP—is a step‑down subsidiary of AEL.
Adani Defence & Aerospace, a leading arm of the Adani Group, specializes in designing, developing, and manufacturing cutting‑edge defence solutions. The group has built a dynamic ecosystem of start‑ups and MSMEs focused on export, employing world‑class processes and robust quality management systems, the statement added.
