Mumbai, Nov 23 (LatestNewsX) – Actress Adah Sharma’s grandmother died this Sunday in Mumbai at 5:30 a.m. after spending the last weeks in hospital, ultimately succumbing to ulcerative colitis and diverticulitis.
The actress has always called her grandmother Paati, and the two were famously close. Adah shared many heart‑warming moments with her on social media, including the viral “Party with Paati” videos that captured their joyful times together.
Adah and her mother are planning a memorial service in their hometown in Kerala to honor Paati. A source close to the family noted, “Adah is closest to her grandmother than anyone else. She lives with her grandmother. Her grandmother has been in the hospital for the past month. Adah and her mother will be having a memorial service in their hometown in Kerala.”
Besides being the elder in the family, the grandmother was a source of strength, humour, and unconditional love for Adah. In August, she posted glimpses from Paati’s birthday celebration on social media. On X (formerly Twitter), the “The Kerala Story” actress shared a video of her grandmother enjoying her special day among loved ones. The post featured the family singing “Happy Birthday,” then dancing to songs such as “Bareli Ke Bazaar Me” and “Sar Jo Tera Chakraye,” and also included moments from the cake‑cutting ceremony.
