Priyanka Chopra Jonas has bid farewell to Mumbai after wrapping up her latest commitments there. The global star shared a fun Instagram video as she headed back home, thanking her sister-in-law Neelam Upadhyaya for stepping in with some girl power—specifically, removing hair clips after a long day of work, since husband Nick Jonas couldn’t be there.
“Alvida Mumbai! Always so wonderful to be back, even if it’s for a minute. Happy Dussehra to everyone celebrating,” Priyanka captioned the post. She added a cheeky note: “PS: wait for the end. Thank you @neelamupadhyaya for stepping in when hubby wasn’t around to help. IYKYK. @danasupnick @nickjonas.” The video ends with Neelam helping out, capturing that sweet family bond.
Just before her departure, Priyanka soaked in the festivities during Durga Puja. On September 30, which marked Ashtami, she visited the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal. Dressed in a striking purple Indian outfit paired with silver jhumkas, she offered prayers to Goddess Durga. The next day, October 1, she posted a glimpse of the beautiful Durga idol on Instagram. “On this Ashtami, feeling grateful for Maa Durga’s blessings! Thank you @tanishaamukerji & @ayanmukerji for having me,” she wrote, giving a shoutout to actress Tanishaa Mukerji and filmmaker Ayan Mukerji for the warm welcome.
On the work front, Priyanka recently starred in the action-packed “Heads of State,” directed by Ilya Naishuller. The film features her alongside Idris Elba as the UK Prime Minister and John Cena as the US President, who team up against a dangerous foreign threat.
Fans have plenty more to look forward to. She’s set to share the screen with Mahesh Babu for the first time in the upcoming action-adventure “SSMB29,” drawing inspiration from history and mythology. The movie is slated for a 2027 release. Priyanka has also joined the cast of “Krrish 4,” the next chapter in the popular superhero franchise, where Hrithik Roshan makes his directorial debut.
