Mumbai, Nov 25 (LatestNewsX) – The news that Bollywood icon Dharmendra had passed away shocked the nation and the film world alike. Fans and followers were devastated following his death on the 24th, a loss that resonated deeply across the country.
Across the next day, major figures from the industry converged at the Deol family home to offer their condolences. The scene was a testament to how deeply respected Dharmendra was, with many high‑profile personalities showing up to stand with the grieving relatives.
Evening of November 25 saw veteran actor Jeetendra, a close friend of Dharmendra for nearly five decades, visit the Deol residence. The 80‑year‑old star, moving at a deliberate pace, braved the night to pay his respects and meet the family members who were still reeling from the loss. Jeetendra and Dharmendra had shared screens in classics such as The Burning Train, Dharam Veer, Dharma Karma, and Kinara among other hits.
Later that night, Hrithik Roshan and his father Rakesh Roshan also came by, the pair having once worked with Dharmendra on the 1983 film Teesri Aankh, which also starred Shatrughan Sinha. Actor Varun Dhawan joined them, quietly offering his sympathy.
Many did not know that Dharmendra was slated to turn 90 on December 8. He died at 89 after a brief period of respiratory distress that required ventilator support. He had been recently discharged from the hospital and returned home, where his care continued.
