Delhi’s film and media scene buzzed on Wednesday when Minister for Creative Industries Kapil Mishra joined the FICCI Frames Silver Jubilee Edition in Mumbai. The event drew big‑name stars like Anil Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Pratik Gandhi and Rajat Kapoor, giving Mishra a chance to chat with top filmmakers and actors.
The minister shared his day on X, posting pictures of himself with Kapoor and a caption that echoed his meeting. “Today at #FICCIFrames2025, I discussed film policy, festivals and the future of storytelling with @AnilKapoor, @divyadutta25, @pratikg80 and Rajat Kapoor,” he wrote. “Delhi will keep building strong policies that empower creators and make the capital the heart of India’s creative economy.”
Earlier, Mishra hosted a roundtable titled Made in Delhi: A Creative Capital Rising. The session highlighted how Delhi can become a hub for film, OTT and media work. He focused on three key topics: film policy, festivals and storytelling. The discussion aimed to spark collaborations between the Delhi government and industry leaders, helping creators tap into the city’s unique cultural vibe.
Actors Pratik Gandhi and Anil Kapoor travelled to the event to meet Mishra, sharing their experiences shooting in Delhi and showing support for the city’s growing film sector.
A major takeaway was the launch of the Delhi International Film Festival (DIFF) as a flagship platform. The festival is set to showcase local talent, forge global partnerships and boost Delhi’s creative economy.
The FICCI Frames gathering shows that Delhi is poised to become a key player in India’s creative scene, with the government stepping up to create policies that empower artists, filmmakers and storytellers alike.
