Shreyas Talpade Celebrates 8 Years of ‘Poster Boys’ with Heartfelt Thanks to Sunny Deol and Team
Mumbai, Sep 8: Actor Shreyas Talpade just marked a special milestone – it’s been eight years since his directorial debut film ‘Poster Boys’ hit the screens! On Monday, Shreyas shared a bunch of fun pictures from the movie on Instagram, thanking everyone who made it possible, especially Bollywood action star Sunny Deol.
In his emotional caption, Shreyas wrote, "8 Years of Poshter Boyz (Hindi) my directorial debut in Hindi Film Industry! Wow…time truly flies. Thank you @iamsunnydeol Paaji for making me a director and being the Strongest pillar." He called Sunny Deol his biggest support, crediting him for kicking off his journey as a director.
Shreyas didn’t stop there. He gave a shoutout to Bobby Deol, saying, "Thank you @iambobbydeol for being a great friend and one of the best students / co-actor." He also praised newcomer Tripti Dimri, noting, "@tripti_dimri ..glad we could introduce you to the world of films. Kudos to the hardwork you have put in!" For Sonali Kulkarni, he added, "Thank you @sonalikul for your support always. You are a darling."
The post kept rolling with thanks to Samikssha Batnagar for bringing energy to her role and his wife Deepti Talpade for being an amazing producer. Shreyas wrapped it up by appreciating the entire crew, friends, actors, and fans: "And my crew, friends & all my actors without whom this would have not been possible. And thank YOU for all the love you have shown to the film, because of you guys this film remains fresh in my heart even as we complete 8 years. #8YearsOfPoshterBoyzHindi."
Released in 2017, ‘Poster Boys’ is a hilarious comedy that Shreyas Talpade wrote, co-produced, and directed. It stars Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Shreyas himself, alongside Sonali Kulkarni, Samikssha Batnagar, and Tripti Dimri. This Hindi version is a remake of the Marathi hit ‘Poshter Boyz’, which Shreyas had produced and acted in earlier. The story draws from a real-life incident about three porters whose photos end up on a vasectomy poster by mistake.
In the film, these three guys – played by Sunny, Bobby, and Shreyas – face embarrassment when their pictures appear in a family planning ad. Their friends and family tease them endlessly, leading to a wild rebellion against the system. Packed with laughs and drama, ‘Poster Boys’ became a fan favorite for its light-hearted take on a quirky real event.
Fans are loving Shreyas’s nostalgic post, and it’s a reminder of how ‘Poster Boys’ brought together a stellar cast for some memorable moments in Bollywood comedy. If you’re a Sunny Deol or Bobby Deol fan, this throwback is sure to bring back good memories!
