Hyderabad, Nov 23 (LatestNewsX) – With Naga Chaitanya’s birthday coming up on November 23, the crew behind his next venture, directed by Karthik Dandu, announced the title of the highly awaited mythological thriller. The project, initially called #NC24, has now been named "Vrushakarma".
On the special occasion, Mahesh Babu sent birthday wishes and confirmed the film’s title. He posted, “Wishing you a very HapWispy Birthday @chay_akkineni. #VrushaKarma looks super solid… looking forward to this. (sic).”
Naga Chaitanya answered by resharing the tweet on his X account, writing, “Thanks @urstrulyMahesh Garu for this gesture ! Means a lot. (sic).”
The makers also revealed the first‑look poster for “Vrushakarma.” In the image, Naga Chaitanya appears as a raw and fierce avatar, showcasing his muscular build while delivering intense expressions. He seems mid‑battle, set against a dramatic celestial eclipse, broken structures, and a war‑torn backdrop.
When sharing the poster on Instagram, he typed, “#vrushakarma it is for #nc24 (sic).”
The Karthik Dandu project is being backed on a large scale by producers BVSN Prasad and Sukumar, operating under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra LLP (SVCC) and Sukumar Writings respectively.
Meenakshi Chowdhury is slated to play the romantic lead with Naga Chaitanya, while Sparsh Srivastava, known from ‘Laapataa Ladies’, will take on a pivotal role.
The technical team brings together several seasoned names: Neil D Cunha is attached as cinematographer, while the story of “Vrushakarma” comes from director Sukumar. Ajaneesh Loknath supplies the music, and editing is headed by National Award winner Navin Nooli. Art direction is led by Sri Nagendra Tangala, who previously worked on Naga Chaitanya’s “Thandel.”
