Chennai, Nov 23 (LatestNewsX) – Nivin Pauly dropped a subtle hint that the next shooting schedule for Bakkiyaraj Kannan’s highly anticipated action‑thriller Benz, which stars Raghava Lawrence in the lead, is already finished.
He switched on his social‑media feed, sharing a series of behind‑the‑scenes snaps from the set and captioned them with “Darkness Loading……⏳.” He then tagged every member of the cast and crew and added the tags #ScheduleWrap #BenzMovie #Walter.
The hashtag ScheduleWrap has stirred excitement among fans, many of whom now believe the film’s next unit has wrapped.
Earlier this year, director‑producer Lokesh Kanakaraj confirmed that the second schedule was up and that the team should be able to complete the remaining work in another three to four months. In an interview, he noted that the film was already two schedules deep, that editor Philomin Raj was reviewing the footage, and that the project would likely conclude in the coming months while other films remain in the pipeline. Based on these comments, many speculate that the current wrap could indeed be the final schedule.
A major talking point around Benz is that Nivin Pauly is playing a villain for the first time in his career. In an X post introducing his character, Bakkiyaraj Kannan wrote:

The character promo released by the makers starts with ominous sounds echoing from a room, as if a blow is being delivered. Nivin then steps out in full gold regalia, wielding a large metal hammer that appears to drip blood, his grin revealing gleaming teeth. He turns around to interrogate another character—also played by Pauly—who is casually eating and initially confuses “Benz” for “Bens.” The antagonist, known as Walter, delivers a chilling line about a head inside a helmet being cut like a goat’s head, followed by a suggestive laugh. The promo ends with Walter describing himself as “A dirty mind, a beautiful heart deadly combination. Love you Walter!” The teaser hints that Pauly portrays two distinct roles in the film.
The project is the brainchild of Bakkiyaraj Kannan, with fresh musical score by Sai Abhyankkar. Goutham George handles cinematography, Philomin Raj does the editing, Jacki is in charge of art direction, and Pradeep Boopathi serves as creative producer.
